Anthony Palumbo was born in New Jersey and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield (Conn.) University in 1968. He served with honors with the U.S. Army in Vietnam before enrolling at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He graduated cum laude in 1973, was invited to the Law Review and served as Student Body President. He began his practice with Jennings, Strouss and Salmon and was admitted to the Arizona bar in 1973. Tony has been primarily representing the seriously and catastrophically injured since 1977. He formed the firm of Harris and Palumbo for that very purpose in 1981. In March, 2006, after 25 years at Harris and Palumbo, he realized a life-long dream and started a firm with his son, Scott, and best friend Elliot Wolfe. That firm is Palumbo Wolfe & Palumbo, PC.
Tony is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (FACTL), is a charter specialist certified by the Arizona State Bar as a Specialist in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation, and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a professional organization that recognizes the accomplishments of lawyers who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for their clients. He also served as a member of the State Bar Civil Practice and Procedure and Civil Jury Instruction committees, and on the Board of Directors of AZTLA. He has lectured extensively throughout the state. Mr. Palumbo lives with his wife, Anna Marie, in Phoenix, and is active in multiple professional, civic, and youth organizations.
Mr. Palumbo was recognized as one of Arizona's Top 50 lawyers for 2010 by Southwest Super Lawyers & was named the Best Lawyers' 2011 and 2012 Phoenix Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year.
